Managing your data, including importing data into a database for use on a web site, sometimes requires the right tools to di it quickly and efficiently. In the past we provided our customers various database formats, including CSV and SQL. But with the right tool you can now convert your raw data yourself.

We have used a free tool, CSV to SQL converter, for a while now. The program was written to make importing data into a MySQL database easier. The program can:

• Convert CSV files to SQL files,


• Split up the SQL file into smaller files with a specified number of rows,


• Convert Unix linefeed into Windows type


• Specifie whether or not field names are requested.

We have used this program to successfullyconvert very large (3,000,000 records and 10 fields) CSV files into SQL.

While we still use our Z Quick Import program to import large CSV files directly into a MySQL database we still find a lot of uses for the CSV to SQL converter. Check out this site.
